NaNoWriMo's Over. Now What?
Here’s what you need to do with your NaNoWriMo manuscript.
Have you participated in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month)?
I did NaNo for the first time in 2017. I wrote over 50,000 words and finished my first manuscript a few weeks later. It was invigorating. Exciting. I was so proud of myself.
But let me tell you, that beautiful book baby was not ready to be published.
Whatever you do, DO NOT PUBLISH OR QUERY YOUR NANO MANUSCRIPT RIGHT NOW!

Find The YOU In Your Story
Do you know what drives your writing? Have you thought about why you’re writing your work-in-progress? Have you explored the common threads that run through all of your stories?
The more I get to know myself or, ahem, stop hiding from myself, the more I see the same themes in every area of my life. These themes shape my relationships, free time, work, play, and creativity. They are the wires that power and move me.

The Message of Your Story Is the Most Important Thing About Your Novel
What would you say is the most important thing to know about your story?
Your ideal reader?
Your main character?
The plot?
The end?
All of those are important elements, but they come second to one element—your story’s point.

Enneagram Types as Writers
Have you thought about how your Enneagram Type impacts your writing process?
It’s so interesting to see where my clients struggle, because they 100% follow a pattern.
