About Dani

If you believe novels have the power to make people feel seen, build empathy, and help the world have less war and more love, you’re in the right place. This is what fuels my mission of helping folks write the stories they need to tell so their readers can feel seen and see others.

I believe the author is the most important part of their story. Only by embracing themselves can writers craft the honest, brave stories the world needs. Through my Story Tree method, writers deepen their connection with themselves.

Self-discovery is the foundation of my year-long writing program, The Rooted Writers Mentorship. This program, which utilizes the Enneagram personality theory, gives the emotional support, systems, and accountability folks need to finally write a novel they're fucking proud of.

While in the haze of mothering young children, I started writing novels to connect with myself. Writing fantasy novels allowed me to process deep issues, put my creativity to a purpose, and have real conversations (with the characters in her head).

In 2020, I became an Author Accelerator Certified Book Coach in Fiction and have been coaching writers ever since. I’m currently pursuing an Enneagram Certification through Empathy Architects.

I’m an Enneagram 4, INFJ, and Capricorn. I married my college sweetheart at the tender age of 22, and realized when I left Christianity that I’m not as straight as I thought I was. Together with my partner, we raise our two kiddos and the bestest pup in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
